FAQs
Do I need a referral to see a women's health physiotherapist?
No, you don't! Physiotherapists are first contact practitioners, so you can book an appointment without needing a referral.

If you have been referred by your GP or medical specialist, please send these through beforehand or bring these into your consultation.
What can I expect in my first physiotherapy consultation?
We will discuss your condition in detail to understand you, your body and your condition.

We will also assess the way you move, your strength and any other relevant assessments.

If you are visiting for a pelvic health related condition, then a pelvic floor assessment may be required. This may involve an internal vaginal examination (with your consent), or an external examination - the choice is yours. If it is needed, we will discuss this during your consultation and we will do what makes you feel most comfortable.
Can I bring my baby or child(ren)?
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring in your baby and/or children.
